Re: Don't you miss the days of Pres. BC?
IMO, it is completely and totally asinine for a "Christian" to be arguing for homosexual rights.
BTW, they have the same rights I do. I can't marry another man (UUUUGGGHHHH, PUKE!) either.
They do not want the same rights, they want special rights. As of now, we share the same freedoms. First homosexuality, then polygamy, then beastiality, then NAMBLA rights.
Get a grip, people.

Bro, I understand your position and your fears, but in the real world...it's not going to work.
Here's a concern of mine that I mentioned in another thread. Eventually the homosexual community is going find a way to take this all the way to the Supreme Court. If they do, they will be fighting for "marriage" in the name of "equal rights". Odds are, given the libertarian social climate, they will win the right to "marry". But here's something to consider... if we grant them "civil unions" they will not have any grounds upon which to take the issue to the Supreme Court... because civil unions will provide them the rights they desire. In a sense, civil unions could prevent gays from winning the right to form a union legally called "marriage".
Just a concern of mine.

Amen, he spoke a great spiritual truth! Wow. But the reality is that they will fight until they win the right to "marry" if we don't afford them equal rights under the law in the form of civil unions. This is one reason why many radical homosexual groups don't want civil unions... they fear it will prevent them from making a case for full blown "marriage".

I'm just arguing for liberty and justice for all, including gay people, when it comes to government. I'd never marry or recognize a gay union. It's an abomination.

I just had to point this out.... if we granted them the right to civil unions, or even marriage for that matter, you too would have the right to marry another man (yuck!). LOL Now, if they were allowed to marry the same gender and we weren't, those would be special rights. LOL Just had to point that out.

Riiiiggggghhhhht. That's realistic. It's never going to happen bro. Everything we've been saying about how wrong it is is right on the money. It's an abomination. But this is the REAL world and I think our hatred for their lifestyle is overshadowing our judgment. The day will come when they will win the right to full blown marriage if we're not careful. In a way, the only way to truly prevent that is to find a way to grant them the rights they desire, however legally classify it differently than marriage. The civil union could actually prevent them from winning full blown marriage.

Yes, let's do that. Along with the liars, and those who sow discord among their brethren. (Abominable acts)
