I can share testimony after testimony of people who of course came here to make money but God changed their plans and transformed their lives based on the "felonious" decision they made ...
One pastor friend of mine just recently shared how his prayer warrior of a mother .... who was a pioneer in the Spanish work here in the States for the UPCI ...
Paid for his and sisters trip ... to fly to Mexico from Colombia ... to eventually enter the States illegally.
(keep in mind that not all undocumented aliens are from Mexico)
He and his sister were schedule to fly to Mexico then enter the States at the border ...
As they were going to board their plane to Mexico ... the officer in Colombia asked if he had his documents.
He did not.
In Colombia, it is a federal crime not to have various documents sealed and properly authorized ... the penalty is more the 5 years in prison.
His sister was allowed to board but he was detained and was escorted to a different location by a federal officer to be booked.
As they walked the long corridor ... this young man who was born in the church ... but now had backslidden and was entrenched in drug addiction ... made a prayer.
He prayed ... God if you let me get to my destination ... Mexico then the US ... I will serve you and one day serve you in the ministry.
As they walked ... the officer looked at him ... and said ... Vete ... just go!!!
He ran and had no idea how he go to the gate but he was never stopped and boarded that plane to Mexico ...
and eventually got to the States and settled for a time in New York ...
Where he flourished in the things of God under my dad's ministry ...
Eventually left NY ... got his legal status in the States in order more than a decade later ...
and is a UPCI pastor here in Houston.
He has impacted the Kingdom ... and many years as a "felonious" criminal.
