As much as this pains me to say, DA is right. He did already advocate sealing up our borders and in past discussions his focus has been what to do with those already here

I wonder how many of you even realize that there is a plan in the works and being implemented right now to do with Canada, US and Mexico what they did with borders and currency in the EU.....
Pretty soon this discussion will be out dated

I may change my mind depending on how much tithe an illegal immigrant gives into the church I pastor.

BTW why do we even need to know if someone is here illegally in our churches? Are we now the gestapo? It's bad enough for there to be Pastors that want to come to your home to inspect for TVs.....but now we have to get a background check to see if they are in the country legally or we won't minister to them?

I know you're Hispanic, I was just pointing out the reason Darcie made a statement to which you responded. I agree w/you, but that doesn't give anyone the right to be ugly about "one" specific group. I was trying to point out her sentiment and wasn't sure if you understood why she posted what she did, thats all brother.

There are people here who's flying probably is their air flight to General Conference or perhaps a visitation to a family member in Texas.....they need to cross our borders and take a flight abroad in order to have a better worldview and understand better...

We should have annexed Mexico when Winfield Scott was down there. I know that sounds Imperialistic - but think of the practical benefits. First of all, we wouldn't be having this argument now.
Next, half of American English vocabulary would be Spanish words. The food would be a lot better up North (Lutkefish or Tamales? No doubt! Tamales!). We'd have had a Hispanic president é or two by now. And the explotative Mexican economy would have OSHA, EPA and Reaganomic free trade to benefit from. Everybody's a winner.
And maybe ReformedDave's team could pick up a right hander so he's not sitting at home wondering what it's like to be me!

I am kinda surprised by some folks responses... I thought our mission as the church of Jesus Christ was to minister to PEOPLE.. regardless of their legal status... my former church had a least one illegal, i know for a fact he was, thank God we didn't turn him and his family away... I am not in support of illegal immigration but our mission should be to save souls, regardless, period!
