I think you furnished a link one time where some of his messages were available on cd but I don't remember what it was.

People like that are called "good book keepers" because they borrow a book and then keep it.
I found a copy of Bro. Curts' tabernacle book on Amazon.com and mailed it to you a while back. You mean you've lost that one already?

Anyone here familiar with the late L.R. Ooton?
I don't know what the initials stood for and I don't know when he was born or when he died. He was preaching the Holy Ghost Baptism in Indiana in 1913. I saw him once in Dayton, Ohio in the nineteen seventies. He was an old man then. According to the Fudge book, In 1941 L.R. Ooton and some others left the PAJC and formed the AMA (Apostolic Ministerial Alliance). At one time there were about 1000 ministers in that group. When I saw him in Dayton the organization had dwindled to just a few. L.R. Ooton was known as a teacher and song writer. I have 11 of his books. One is a song book titled Truth in Love Songs and has 16 songs in it. The only one I had heard of was "To Be Like Him" which has a copyright date of 1923. The other songs have copyright dates ranging from 1920 to 1937.
The other ten books are:
Why Doesn't God Destroy the Devil? no copyright date
Dimensions and Glory of Heavenly Jerusalem copyright 1966
God's Time Piece copyright 1967
Let Us Make Man copyright 1968
Concerning the Times and the Seasons copyright 1969
Sermons from the Sermon on the Mount copyright 1970
What is Time? copyright 1970
The Sower, the Seed, and the Soil copyright 1973
The Spoken Word; The Written Word and the Word Made Flesh copyright 1974
The Except Without Exception copyright 1974
I've had these books for probably 25 to 30 years but had never read all of them. Recently I started reading (or re-reading) them from the oldest to the newest.
P.S. Anybody with any information on L.R. Ooton, I would like to hear from you.

Speaking of David F. Gray, I found some of his books on Amazon.com
I ordered the only available copy of "The Mystery of Israel's Flag." It came a couple of days ago but I need to finish my L.R. Ooton books before I start on it. I don't see a copyright date in it. It was published by Word Aflame Press and has a price of $4.95 written inside it in pencil. It is signed by David F. Gray and inside the cover is a book plate that says "from the library of Ina Starnes, please return." I wonder who she was and how her book wound up for sale by someone who sells for Amazon.
I have two more of his books on order but they haven't arrived yet. They are "The Shepherd's Path" and "The Shepherd's Man." There were quite a few of those available both new and used.
Another series of books that Bro. Gray wrote was a three volume set of "Questions Pentecostals Ask" (or maybe it was "Questions Apostolics Ask," I'm not sure).

I always loved Sister Rita Dawson...she was probably one of the greatest preachers in Pentecost in her day...She wrote the book about the handmaidens of the Lord..

Since I was raised in an independent church and came to Brazil very young I did not know many of these teachers that are listed. I have heard tapes of some of them and they were awesome.
I love good Bible teaching. Preaching may keep us fired up but teaching secures us during the storms.
The body needs the five fold ministry sadly little is seen of it today.
Seems to me like there was more meat in the sermons of yester years today there seems to be so much friction amony the independents that some campmeetings have turned into slaughter houses to cut others down.
Yet, in the mist of it all we still find noble men and women that march on to another drum beat. I hope I can be among that number. People that are above murder and are filled with the love of Jesus Christ. People that their consuming desire is to make Jesus known.

You have such a tremendous spirit! You have already attained the highest esteem for many on this forum. Perhaps some day I can visit you and your husband with my Portuguese speaking [preaching] son-in-law. God's richest blessings on you and your family today!
