That's good. I tell my young ministers that if they can't build a bridge of relationships then they can forget about sharing the message of the New Birth.

Amen to that! The fullness of the gospel is about relating to God through the atonement of Christ. Paul said it like this; to us has been given the ministry of reconciliation.

Some of the things I've read on here are vicious and very judgemental. One of the things he teaches, the Bible tells us that by the measure we judge, we'll be judged. Matthew 7: 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

If we judge harshly, we'll be judged harshly, if we show compassion, we'll be shown compassion...if we extend Grace, Grace will be extended.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

What happened to praying for those you agree or disagree with? Why would you not want to talk with him to hear him out...or at the very least, try to help him see your point of view?

Randy Hollis is a good personal friend of mine. We have had long discussions about his writing. I can tell you that he is passionate about he feels the Lord revealed to him. I know that in itself is not the gauge for truth, but I find nothing to suggest that what he has written is in any way a contradiction to God's word.

Some may not like his conclusions but it makes a lot of sense to me. But, hey, I'm just a slippery liberal. What do I know?

Where is a person, if they have fallen backwards, fallen from grace, and Christ is of no effect in their life? Could it mean that they are lost?

When I read Gal 5:4 something very strange happened to me, I saw a diagram like the second one pictured below. The first diagram is the way I had always seen Pentecost, I believed that you were either blind (meaning that you did not see the light of truth) or you were given enough insight by the spirit to see the truth and you belonged on the blood covered platform. I was taught to believe that if you were blood covered then you belonged in one of these four categories, Liberal, moderate, conservative, or ultra- conservative. I had always believed that if you were blood covered then you were on a higher level spiritually than the blind.






When I read the following statement, "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you," (Gal 3:1 KJV) The diagram below came to my mind and has not changed since that time.




The Ultraconservative group fell away from the blood-stained-grace- platform and became lost again by stumbling back under the law. What terrifies me is, most ministers deceived by this spirit never feel a falling sensation or the thud when they crash into the lower bewitched platform. They do not realize that they have changed spirits!


Paul went on to declare, "This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Gal 3:2 -3)


Paul also said, "But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. "The Law" (Gal 3:25 ) "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" (Gal 4:9 ) And from the NIV "I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you." (Gal 4:11 )

When Paul said, "ye desire again to be in bondage" it brings the wilderness wonderings of the children of Israel to mind. They longed to go back to Egypt. This is another anticipatory model of the law-Vs-blood-"Perfect Storm." There are many warnings laced throughout scriptures, warning us of a terrible snare that would leave us at best, bound, and at the worst, lost.

I don't see how he can say cons are falling back under the law. watch a stretch, IMO.

They are falling back under the law when they no longer trust in their relationship and revert to trusting their "deeds" of holiness for their righteousness. I'm sure not all cons do that.

O contrare! It does pay the bills. It is part and parcel of who he is. It is why the folks in his church love and appreciate him. And I might add, he has rockin' church that many ministers would love the opportunity to pastor.
