The issue is, liberals do believe in Social Democracy. We make no real bones about that. However, "conservatives" aren't really conservatives at all. While denouncing the "evils" of social democracy, they will actually accept far more draconian measures from their fascist dictators of choice. Trump's right. When I do post my response, try not to cut it up to address it point by point. Because it isn't so much the individual points that are the issue. Just one of these hair-brained ideas could be scoffed at or seen as a single interesting "twist" in approach. The issue is the growing implication of all these points combined that reflect a specific style of leadership (fascism) and way of thinking (authoritarian).

Trump said that those concerned with freedom of speech (and he mocked them with a sneering tone) are being "foolish". So, our Founders were foolish???

Trump is trouble. He's an authoritarian fascist nationalist (let's just say it: a Nazi). You'll see this eventually. If not today, it will be another day. But I assure you that you will see this eventually. I know it in the marrow of my bones.
