Hmmmmm- After reading this thread - I am utterly amazed!!!!!! Carp - I do not see you as a basher, just a thinker that is not afraid to question- That I call smart, imaginative and analytical. Glad you are on the forum, miss you when you are not here. Now the real issue, I must admit, I was one of those that was taught that you are never fully dressed until you have on hose. And I did struggle when the trend hit our church, not to wear hose. But- in the hot humid south, things can get real hot and sticky wearing hose. I refuse to wear knee highs and would be constantly pulling up thigh highs. ( Now that is not a pretty or modest picture.) Maybe I have grown cold or just been beaten down, but it does not upset me as much to see ladies coming to church without hose on, but I do still notice. I have never attended a church service without hose pulled all the way to my waist. Is it salvational- I think not- does my husband care- I think not, but I will ask him tomorrow.
