Carey you bring up some good points. What I really notice the first time I step into another church, other then UPC, Apostolic was peace. I didn't feel that judgmental sprite, or that up and down look, you know do you measure up???
I also enjoy hearing about God without all the guilt trips, and Gods going to get you once you step out the door! It was wonderful hearing about the God of love for once!
Last Carey, I remember your old pic...You look so much more happy in the new one, you look great!....

Thank you, I AM happy and you are just one of many to tell me that...it's all the confirmation I need.
I agree completely with the bolded part. I never really felt saved while in the UPC, I was always afraid that Jesus would come or I'd die before I had repented of something...you know because our heart is deceitfully wicked and who can know it? I don't fear like that anymore...it's sooo nice.

This is true, let me say as someone that knows foreverblessed I am not sure this is truly the case.
There is definitely spirit about some churches, and it's delusional to think that you can only be saved going to oneness apostolic church.
While I am not trinitarian, nor Nazarine I have been to a Nazarene church and I can vouch that the spirit of love is something I have never seen in an apostolic church.
Maybe this is just a sign of things to come...

I have to agree that there is a much more relaxed atmosphere… not as caught up in some of the traditions we are used to…especially dress…. however, politics are the same… trust me. My friend is on the board… people are the same any where.
I’ve noticed a difference in worship styles more than anything.. and as much as I don’t want to admit it…. we Pentecostals have a set worship style just as everyone else does…. The church I’ve been going to is missing the Spirit element… it makes a big difference in worship..and the pastor is Trinitarian although what I’ve found is people believe there is only one… they’ve not been taught Trinity any more than a vast majority of the Apostolics have not been taught the Oneness clearly…
I read things on Everyone’s Apostolic and even on this forum that makes me shake my head and wonder who in the world taught them what they believe…. and there in lies the problem itself… they’ve been taught and they have never searched the scripture on their own…. they really do not have a true revelation of who Jesus is. They just repeat clichés that they have heard and picked up over the years.
I have a desire to see people in the Word… reading it for themselves and seeing who Jesus is.. how better to do that in a bible study where I as a person who believes in the oneness of God and Spirit infilling can share my experience and create a hunger to know God more. One the other hand, I have things to learn…our churches in general are lacking life application of the Word…. it is not our strong point.
I remember the first bible study I attended, I came out with three things I had not seen in the scripture before that had absolutely nothing to do with doctrine that would separate churches to begin with…. so how did that bible study hurt me? Anytime we are in the Word of God and sharing it with others… it is never wrong. I don’t care what name is over the door.

#1 - You shouldn’t pass judgment on the condition of someone’s heart…
#2 – I am more in love with Jesus than I have ever been…. I am growing daily in God and the only way I can sometimes describe it is the total saturation of his Spirit working in and through me every day. God is awesome.

FB, Your girls are beautiful and I know that you're doing your best for them.
As others have mentioned, it's good to visit other churches to help you realize some of the traditions that we sometimes take for granted.
Remember that the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. When you hop the fence, you may realize that the field is full of dung.
