My mom has been taking turns living in a bedroom of one of us kid's homes. For the past year, she has been living with my brother's family, and I think things are starting to not go well there!

She's a sweet as she can be, and my SIL is as sweet as she can be, but when someone is staying with you it's hard to be yourself. It's ackward to fuss when you have company! I think my SIL is at the end of her rope!

My dad's wife was single for 13 years, finished getting her degree and thought she was fine - wasn't looking for a husband. Then my dad became widowed and it didn't take him long to find her - - a good lady to compliment his life and fill his loss.

Your mom needs her own space and I KNOW your SIL does!

Mom has been visiting us too ... in the last year and half ... she's hopped from NY, NC, FL and will be paying me [TX] a visit in the next couple of months ... it's part of the reality ... but like you I'm praying that our Moms can find a niche to call home .... I think it will be NC for her.

My SIL is one of the sweetest people (and funny too!) on the face of the earth! If you knew the health of my mother, and how hard it is to take her places like shopping, church, doctors, etc, you would be amazed at my SIL's durability!

It takes a special person to do what your SIL has ... I agree ... it's harder when it's an in law .... to take on that type of commitment ... especially if she has a family of her own.
