Hello all - I am just checking in. I have been reading on the forum, but have not had time to post much. I have been busy with family duties, Christmas shopping and just piddling around the house. We have finally gotten settled down after the death of my nephew. It was a very sudden and unexpected passing- a real shock to us. We all had to back up and realize how we are not promised tomorrow. He was in a backslidden state when he died, but we have to comfort ourselves with the fact he is in the hands of a loving and just God. - Sorry did not mean to be so heavy-
I told yall a while back that we were in the process of purchasing a condo in Shreveport- I know it is not the vacation mecca of the US, but my husband likes to fish there! Well- the first deal we had fell through- We had kinda dropped the idea- The realtor called us out of the blue and offered us a much better deal on a bigger condo, so things our moving again. Pray that we stay in God's will on this one. We have prayed about it and want what is best for us.
I am working on finishing up the Christmas shopping- I am one of those people that like to check things off when they are finished with them! Every year my mother - who I shop for- will tell me at the last minute that she has a couple of more gifts to buy!!!!!!! Grrrr- Well I have tried to get her list from her early so we will see this year.
I am really trying to keep the holiday pounds from creeping on this year. I am walking just about every day and watching what I eat. I am also weighing every day so I can be aware if the pounds creep on. I hope I have not bored yall with my everyday praddle! I will check in you soon again.

Not bored at all that is what Gabby's is for just staying in touch....glad to hear your having a good season so far! We are not gift buying except for our son...would love to spurge, but with hubby laid off income is pretty tight so manybe next year we can have a big blow out!

Hurrraaay it's Friday....we have a very busy weekend ahead!

Tonight a dinner for the volunteers at the birth center!
Tomorrow down to Eugene to my sis's to watch the civil war game...UofO againt the OS...she lives right down the street so we should be able to hear the game from there...

Sunday a toy run and dinner....starting at the local Kmart and then going to the eagles with the toys and a dinner there!

We will be hearing about our latest bid on the condo today!! I am a little nervous, just waiting to see if they accept our offer or will they counter bid. We put in a very low bid, and have a figure in mind that we will go to. We will see, what happens. We will be watching LSU and Tenn with my Dad and Mom tomorrow. I am cooking a big pot of chili to eat before the game. Next week starts my annual going out to eat with old friends for Christmas. Every year at this time we get together and enjoy one another's company once again. I am thankful for old, good friends that I can laugh and cry with.

Hello ladies!! I am excited because I finally found what I was looking for on ebay at a decent price!!!!! It was only $5.00 more than what I would have bought it in the store for + shipping which is worth it to me because we were going to have to drive an hour away to get it up until today when I found out they no longer had it in stock so I went on ebay and the first one that popped up had 10 minutes left and was the cheapest I have seen yet!!! So, I waited till the last 20 seconds and bid and I won!!! My daughter is going to be so suprised! I can't wait till she gets to open it on Christmas.

And I think we are going to cut down our tree this weekend! I still feel the stress of the money but I am determined that I am not going to let it ruin my Christmas Spirit!! I am sooo ready! I took yesterday off spur of the moment and stayed home and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Sometimes I feel that we just gogogogogo and are never home and our house gets neglected, so when I start dreading to go home I get mad becuase I want my home to be a comfort zone, not a dreaded place. So, I stayed home and got things in order and we are thinking about hiring a lady to come and clean once a week so that we can just work on the regular up keep and laundry and let her do the cleaning part because we just simply are never home.
