This is true our district is more open than it was when I was a young person.
Take shoes on ladies for example-it was a sin 25 years ago to have open-toed shoes today it is no big deal.
The fair and exhibition were preached against 25 years ago.
25 years ago I went bowling with a Baptist youth group and was considered "worldly" by our youth group at the pentecostal church.
Now today take a look at pentecostal youth profiles on facebook;they are discussing their favorite Tv shows, movies and stars. Yes a lot has changed in 25 years.

On the same topic, if you really want to know how liberal/conservative a district is, go to a Wal-Mart or a mall and look at our women. There is a jean skirt-Tennis shoe ratio formula that exists, use that, and then you will know how liberal a district is. By my count, due to a recent trip to the Regent Mall, conservatisim is still pretty strong in our area!!!
Now you're just being silly I know... but seriously.. half those tennis shoe wearing women have tv's in there homes if not all. In some places that would be liberal.

I've also been a part of 5 churches (in ministry positions) and only one of them was a city church where most of the ladies tried to co-ordinate their outfits... there were just as many liberals in the small country churches as there are in the city ones.

Or.. maybe I should call them moderates sorry... I keep forgetting about that term!

Until I joined this forum I never heard tell of moderate and ultra-con.. you were either liberal or conservative... and like you, if you believed less than myself you were what I called liberal... if you wore a hat you were conservative.

I still think AD is a lot more liberal than it's Nova Scotian brethren to the east... or it's Maine brethren to the south.
Well from reports I've heard from ML Camp NS district cannot be considered more conservative than the AD for sure .AS far as Maine goes pop in on a church service in a certain village and tell me they are more conservative.

Well she asked an honest question so I gave her an honest answer.

I have been trying to stay out of this but...

I am not sure what size my brian is compared to some others on here but I think it would be safe to say that it at least is in the functioning mode.

Yes moderate is a better term. Moderation in all things I always say.

Hey, I never said they were ALL conservative.

I don't think there is a district out there that every church and every pastor would have the same "standards"

Well at last you come on board ,don't worry about "the pigeon sized brain" comparison -I've been called a bird brain a few times in my life,of course I don't have the foggiest idea why?

Here is another test for you, try this. Go to Harvey Camp, take your choir, sing, "Silver & Gold" by Kirk Franklin and let me know how that goes for ya! Go to Family Camp and try to lead song service with a song from the last, say, 20 years that isn't country in flavor, have at it...you WON'T be asked back, Heeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Obviously I am having some fun with this, that is my nature. I also use different criteria to state whether someone is liberal/mod/con...using my logic (scary) I would say the AD is pretty Moderate.
