Then the xenophobes turn around and spew patriotic diatribes.

Don't confuse my agreeing with Cooper that it's against the law to help an illegal alien with a belief that all illegals should be rounded up and sent back to where they came from. I have mixed feelings on the issue, to be honest with you. The ones who are here to make a life and contribute to society should be allowed to stay. The ones who are here to milk us dry should be sent back. They all need to learn English, though.

Xenophobia is a fear or contempt of foreigners or strangers.[1] It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "foreigner," "stranger," and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear." The term is typically used to describe fear or dislike of foreigners or in general of people different from one's self.

Actually I am more afeared of strangers than furriners.

Amen.

As long as they are working toward citizenship.

While you're driving thank the Lord for the illegals that paved the roads and built the highways.

And thank God ... Coop didn't report them.

We're pretty much on the same page here...you, PP, DA...however, I think that CC1 and Cooper believe they all should be shipped back home. I could be wrong...I"ll have to re-read their posts.

Unfortunately, laws are very difficult to draft and pass BECAUSE of all the different circumstances that can come into play. And while I don't sympathize with those who want to cause harm and traffic drugs and who knows what else, I do sympathize with those who are good, family men who are trying to give their wives and kids and parents a better life.
