Since no politician has ever had every answer to all the problems america faces, I would say its not a stretch to laugh. If one politician does seem to come up with the answers and agree with Congress on them (unlikely) then more problems will rise up! Its never ending.

So what happens is Ms. Palin is elected and other issues pop up in her tenure? Will the political cycle failures ever end? She may clean up one mess, then may end up creating another.

Oh, well, I agree there too (I tend to be more politically ambivalent).
But, to me, Sarah Palin as a politician is a little humorous.

Don't ya know?
I admit it would be interesting though to see how she would propose policies to the country of over 300 million compared to a state of 500,000. If she could bring small politics to the big stage, it might help some areas.

President Bush packed a lot into one statement. He was under pressure to name a favorite for election and all he did was offer 1 trait that was overwhelmingly important. It was character. Palin has solid and moral character. This regime doesn't. Even Summers who has some huge blunders, was ignored for economics advice. Geithner who was degreed with international economics which was 80% policy and 20% economics was told what to say. The stress he was under in hearings showed a man saying things for the regime that he knew wouldn't work as the regime claimed. Timmie also knew many of us knew he was blowing smoke and depicting impossible scenarios.
Reagan did great inherriting many problems. Most were difficult to solve. I admit he was a bit of a Hollywood airhead like Schwartzenager but he had strong advisors and was strong on difficult implimentation.

I just happen to think the Head of State should be well-educated, articulate and competent to the level of the nation's highest-level job.
I wouldn't doubt it could be "interesting" though I'd say if it's Palin on GOP ticket, Obama on DNC, then look-out, because we may see our first third-party candidate.

Re: The poor in America
If you believe you are saved by works, you will look down at the poor. If you believe you were a sinner saved by grace (You couldn't help yourself, you couldn't save yourself) you will love the poor.
Oh how related this theology is to all issues.
Those who are with the Messiah, aren't only ministers by words, but also by deeds.
My view of the perspectives in this thread, far surpasses the issues of what is the proper role for government (which is worthy for debate), but more on how poor people are viewed.

So you think I'm being mean to Coadie? You too?
Oh please... the guy has bad-mouthed the poor this entire thread... I've confronted that ugliness. And perhaps have done so imperfectly, but that attitude needs to clearly be confronted. Unfortunately, Coadie speaks for many of you more than his worldly perspective crosses you.
I will consider putting the coadster on ignore going forward.

Read a teleprompter?
Is Obama well educated?
Anyone seen his transcript?
He had no real business experience and it shows.
