It was even more beautify that she stuck with him

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Yes, Prax, I agree. Her sticking with him pretty much trumps his trusting her to help him.

Now before someone tries to say "there you have it, Bishoph just said that standards were more important than moral purity," that is not what I said. I specifically used the word "dangerous."

Let me explain my statement. The adulterer/fornicator etc can/will IMO must be removed from ministry. Thus the damage done by their sin will hopefully be limited in its scope. But a person who is in doctrinal error, may continue to infect untold numbers of people which could have eternal consequences.

Again, I am not justifying the assassination of anyone's name on a forum (especially those that are not there to defend themselves) and I believe that forums should be for the sake of discussing issues not persons.

Bump for Praxeas.....I think this got buried in the discussion.

For the record, I don't regret anything I've posted on this thread. I meant every word I posted.

This hasn't been my experience too often. If ministry sits in the congregation, it is normally on the first pew. Personally, if I'm not preaching I enjoy my seat, about midway back, in the midst of the congregation.

To be fair, it's practical. Those who are going to be speaking will be close to the podium. It's not necessarily a means of "exalting oneself."

I often see this scripture along with "obey them which have rule over you" I am still trying to figure out why "test the spirits" "prove all things" and "these were more noble...in that they searched the scriptures daily to see whether those things were so." are not quoted with the same frequency?

True, but I've never been a fan of the "Johnny Carson chairs" on the platform. And what Jeff Arnold called "wall papaer for Christ". Just a little too much Matthew 23:6 for my tastes.

Unfortunately, this says far more about Charnock than it says about "preacher forums."

It is sad that Bro. Charnock has chosen to smear the reputations of good, sincere men with such filthy, false words.

I have followed forums from FCF to AFF and I can't recall a more reprehensible post than Charnock's blanket condemnation of preachers.

Shame on you Bro. Charnock. Shame on you.

I hope that, in the clear light of day, you will see how you have disgraced yourself and dishonored your brethren, and that you will retract what you have written.
