Chan, I think you are projecting.

Surely there are people who are places where God has ordered.... I believe that I came to Dallas on such because that is where God wanted me.

I also know that there are many saints in churches that are there just to be saints. I suspect that some folk arent getting "Orders" from on high.

Goodness, I struggle with being able to TRUST God after all the junk he has done to me. And He's GOD!!! Perfect, Love, Sovereign, etc.

How can I trust a mere man? I guess it was over on the church attendance thread that I got into that. I have fully admitted that fact. It is definately part of it. But what this thread is dealing with is "Why", Why SHOULD I trust any human spiritually?

This is the kind of honestly that makes me really apprecate you. but it also demnostraits that this is an area of your life where you have great potential for growth! not to mention some awesome healing...

People don't mind so much being "jerked up short" by people they trust, respect and know loves them.

Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Another way of saying: Have confidence in those that are in leadership in your life and surrender yourself to their leadership because of your confidence and trust in those leaders.

Obedience w/o confidence is of little value.

I'm behind in this thread, but I've seen several posts on submission. Some indicate that the act of obedience defines their submision, but I disagree.

You can obey without submitting, but you can't submit without obeying.

Anyone with children, especially teenagers, is well aware of the difference.
