I was part of the process of dividing a District into two a few years ago, and it does not go to the Conference Floor. This was approved by the General Board and I will look up the verbage of the official voting later tonight.

That's great to hear!

We only met him once, but were very impressed! We have also heard from many what a good man he is...I'm sure he'll be greatly missed in the District.

I think it should be noted again that it seems RM simply decided to not allow his name to be placed on the next ballot which takes place in one month as opposed to "resigning" in mid-term.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!

The term is two years...if he stays on until the district conference he FULFILLED HIS ENTIRE TERM....therefore he DID NOT RESIGN he simply did not run again.

Also, every term for DS is two years! If a man fulfills the office those two years and someone else gets voted in....he did not get voted out!!!! The term is over and it starts all over every two years.

To a limit of Eight years, unless re-elected on the nomination vote.
