I think if they are representing the fellowship, and getting paid handsomely by the fellowship, there should be limits placed on that sort of activity.

I'm not going there.

Yes, there is and I can tell you that much of this information is accurate. I would also be willing to bet that when people have tried to bring up some of these "inconsistencies" and suggested ways to be better stewards of "John Q. Apostolic's" offerings, they were told the same old "apostolic" line, "It's your job to be obedient to those over you and not question."
I know some of you will say these things don't happen, but you would be surprised at the things which DO happen and cause people there to lose total faith in the system and get burnt in the process.
Some of these people, instead of trying to cause trouble and start a "scandal" they behave like better Christians than those who are supposed to be godly examples and just go their way hoping their wounds will heal someday.
I can't and won't go into details, but most on here know that I rarely post things which are inaccurate or errant.

Gee, that sounds eerily familiar to conversations I have been involved in.

Thanks for you response, MOW. Since we found a place to air this all out, could someone verify this piece of information for me? I like details.

It would also help if they would cut out the $12,000.00 birthday parties they throw for the Haneys and Jones every year.

Let me explain.
Let's say...
1. A minister is employed by Headquarters to head up a division, or assist a dept head on a salaried basis.
2. That minister receives a housing allowance, unbelievable retirement package and excellent salary with health benefits.
3. That minister goes to such and such district event or local church and expects to be paid handsomely for speaking. He expects this BECAUSE of the position he holds.
How silly is that? Especially when those people are already paying him big bucks through dues and donations to HQ.
I could totally understand travel reimbursement. But some of these men are abusing the system. They make as much from preaching out as they do from their salaried position.

I have conversations with many people due to my roots in the UPC and the fact that I am still oneness etc. Many people would be surprised at the things people share with me. These people are NOT wanting to destroy someone's career or ministry. They just can't believe that people who they thought, due to their position in the org, would be spiritual giants turned out to be giganitcally abusive!

Most leaders are servant-minded in the UPC.
Some are not.
I'm sure that is the case in all religious organizations.

If I told you my sources, I'd have to kill you!!!
In all honesty, people from many walks in the UPC contact me in confidence and I have never betrayed that confidence, nor will I.
