Am I out in left field or something? The bolded portion of Sis. Rhoni's post is the thing that brings this whole story into context for me. I understand the reasons why people do not share all of their personal struggles on a public platform, however, It was Paula and her soon to be ex-husband who stood on the platform of their church and declared unilaterally that there was no infidelity by either party, but rather that their ministries were just going different directions.
Again I understand wanting to keep certain things private, but when you make a declaration to your church and the world and then turn around later and "reveal" that there were problems it would seem to me that not only did they lie, but they made an attempt to cover it up for personal gain (empire builders) rather than repent and submit to restoration so as to further the kingdom.
Personally I have grown very tired of the pompous attitude and ministry "idol" status that has taken over religion, and has begun to creep into the Apostolic movement as well. Men and women who fell into immorality 30 to 40 years ago were for the most part finished if it came to light. Now they travel the world almost bragging about their fall. many heralding some of the details from the pulpit. Then they wrap it up in a nice package by saying "but look at me now, if God can restore me he can doe it for you too."
The problem is not forgiveness but restoration. If you have a 57 Chevy that you want to restore you don't push it into the garage on Saturday evening and drive it out on Sunday morning restored. It is a process and it takes time. However, if one submits to the process of restoration they will come out much stronger than they ever were before. Because restoration never just puts you back to the original, upgrades and enhancements are made. Those that just transition into another ministry after falling IMHO have probably not repented because true repentance seeks restoration, and that takes time out of the limelight.

I'm a bit disappointed in the turn the thread took concerning the insults and criticism brought against Paula White, I'm not sure any of us, besides Vicky knows her well enough to comment on her personality and physical quirks. However, my comment was directed to Rhoni............in her original post she clearly said "Her degree and divorce were GOOD for her", and then retracted the statement.
I don't care who you are, it's a great stretch to say that a degree and a divorce helps one's ministry.........if those things are brought upon one and they rise above it, that's one thing.........but, if a divorce in and of itself HELPS one's ministry, then I'd say that the Bible is contradictory..........
