When one may not have a television in his home and yet goes to the motel, or a family's house, and watches it, it is called hypocritical. And then they have the audacity to want a voice and a vote at GC!

Do you not see that they should NOT have ANY say so as to what is allowed or disallowed??? Do you see my point?
These are my points exactly. If the TV watching preachers in the UPC would be real men and do the right thing and turn in their card, we would not even be having this discussion. There is no way TV would pass at GC if all the "hypocrite" would not vote. Why is it that the TV watching libs want to change the UPC. Why can't they start there own organization?

That is my thing. I can see OP_Carl's point... I don't deny that this is an issue. But to me, if I take that train of thought, I have to also apply the same logic to radio, printed media and the internet.

You can't condemn a technology because of some or even MOST of the content that is available on it... (thinking internet here again).

Anyway, sorry for making a mess in your thread earlier... this is why I shouldn't post. I can't play nice...

I am not judging. I simply state reality. If there be any judging, it falls from the Word of God. The bible states that all liars shall have their part in hell. MBlume spoke that Jesus, Himself, had a problem with hypocrits. Is my problem unjustified?

NOTE: I am all for repentance and I hope that they have gotten it all right. I simply have my doubts though.

Because they want MEN like you and I too look as if we are against revival, against change, etc... They want us look like the descenters, troublemakers and meanies. They want it to look like we are the cause of the split.

This civil disobedience is justified in their minds because they want to send a message!

You better stop this! You're a lib, I'm a con... we can't agree twice in one day!

Beware lest conviction fall on you and you repent of your evil ways.

But why no conviction against the Internet? Doesn't that seem to be a bit inconsistent?

I don't believe this is inconsistant at all. I use internet mainly for only a few things. I look at this forum to keep up with the liberal wing of pentecost, I take online classes, and I buy books on ebay. I don't break any Articles of Faith stands by doing so. Whoever said that the push/pull principle doesn't work is wrong. I look at only those things that I want to see. I have no fear of some junk just pooping up, I have pop-up blockers and an internet filter for that. Again we're back to the fact that liberals will use any excuss possible to justify watching TV. If you watch TV that's fine with me, it doesn't bother me at all. Go ahead, watch wifeswap, southpark, baywatch re-runs, anything you want, I don't have a problem with you doing so unless you are a UPC minister. TV pushes that junk on you, but I do have to pull tht junk out of the internet.
