I don't know the guy but from what I read his heart is after souls.

No, I am saying his article will affect his pocketbook negatively. A risk he is obviously courageous enough to take.

He's been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Hopefully he will take the same line as Paul and not be a man pleaser.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Gal 1:10

He has been, wayyyyyyy before he posted that little blog, and even wayyyy before any other controversies and scandals. I know of ministers who come nigh to hating him, just because they don't like the fact that he *gasp* thinks they ought to pray and fast and evangelize as much as possible.

I guess I just don't agree with the analogy. At first sight it might sound peppy, but I think it is flawed. We need ALL our options, You can't fit that analogy really into a football game. We need all our options and we need to do them all well...far better than we have
I might have missed his point, but I am still cautious we don't send the wrong message to the body of Christ of what TV is. It is not to be our last option :-) ...we really need to concentrate MORE on the other options. Allow for TV, but let's get the other stuff done right

Ok Prax, I agree with ya. TV is not the end all. It is like a band-aid covering up a knife wound.

That is too sad for words.
I know of no such ministers.

Well said, Stephan!
That was my thought exactly. I do not believe God has placed the eternal destiny of his creation in the hands of mortal men. While God has called us all to be light, salt and poured our wine in our individual worlds, the responsibility of the whole world is His not ours.

You are correct. But remember it takes 1 fishing line, 1 fishing pole and some bait to fish. Because you have all the parts, line, pole and bait does not mean you will catch every fish, right? But it does increase your chances of catching fish if you have several lines, pole, and bait to drop in a try to catch fish...doesn't it?
