In all of our pontificating every issue under the sun on this forum, let us remember the words of Winston Churchill:
“To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”
While we are discussing issues, let us also find our purpose and use our talents for a better world.

Re: Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress today
Irony: Using the words of Winston Churchill to defend the only country in the world holding millions of people in barbed-wire camps and engaging in genocide for no reason other than to take their property for expansion and settlement.
It is treason for our congressmen to invite, entertain, sit for, and clap for people who spit on our values of equal protection and property rights.

Re: Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress today
Since 2001, more than 15,200 rockets and mortars, an average of over 3 rocket attacks every single day, have targeted Israel. Hamas, the ruling entity of the Gaza Strip, is responsible for most of the rocket fire on Israeli population centers.
Hope you never experience that, you spoiled Americans!(If Mexico even fired 1 rocket at us, we would absolutely come unglued...technically, we Californians occupy their ancient land also)

I hope you never get your home taken, locked in a barbed wire camp, have your children stopped and beaten or just shot down on a street just bacause someone wants to take your property to settle on. After that happens I hope someone comes to your aid and helps you rather than giving the people who want to terrorize you and your family more weapons to do it.

Re: Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress today

When the Palestinians finally change their religion, they can finally get rid of Hamas(which they harbor among themselves).
Some are saying Islam is incompatible with democracy. I fully agree.
Islamists must be ruled by religious rulers, or have a secular government. One or the other.
The enthusiasm of yester-year for the “Arab Spring” has proved entirely misguided. It has led to chaos in Egypt and anarchy in Libya. Those determined to be “on the right side of history” now find themselves on the wrong side of the argument. Democracy is empathically not the solution for extremely complex societies and Western meddling only makes matters immeasurably worse. The fundamental reason for our failure is that democracy, as we understand it, simply doesn’t work in Middle Eastern countries where family, tribe, sect and personal friendships trump the apparatus of the state. ....

Barbed wire camps, occupation by Isarali troops, and removal of people to make room for Israeli settlements predates Hamas.
As long as you are on record that you support these camps and the extermination of these people for expansion then you are on record to support murder and terrorism.
Until they change their religion? This is not what my part of America believes. You do not lose your life, family, or property because of your religion.

In the case of the Palestinians I dont think It's Islam as much as it's their Islamic leaders
Google "Hamas executions"
Before, Under Arafat the Palestinians were the fodder for the the PLO just as they are now.
