Pastor Epley, you created this thread, and boldly entitled it, "
All Trinitarians Are Lost !!!", emphasizing this point with many exclamation marks.
I have pointed out teachings by the Apostle Paul that contradicts your stance.
The great Apostle Paul makes it clear that when God fills someone with the Holy Ghost after they have believed the gospel of redemption through Christ's blood (water baptism is obviously a part of "
believing" the gospel), that He is marking that person as his own. Paul is clearly saying that the baptism in the
PROMISED Holy Spirit is a seal or sign that this person has been accepted by God, justified by faith.
Quote:
13 And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. (Eph 1:13-14)

And of course Paul is referring to the events of Acts chapter 19 when the first Ephesians were converted.
Brother Epley, in front of all these witnesses on this board who are reading this thread I ask you, do you agree with the Apostle Paul or not? Are those who have received the Holy Ghost God's people or not, even if they attend a church with what we'd consider to have less than perfect doctrine? Better yet, do you agree with God?
