I don't know what this is going to be or why I grabbed this color (lol). I just want to see how big you can make something out of one skein of yarn.

BTW, that is my brass footed footstool. I haven't moved that into the guest room yet.
Cool! I found a pretty blue and white crocheted blanket that my mom made for my son. It's in perfect condition, so if they have a boy, I can pass it down as something made by his great grandmother! Too cool!

LOL - - keep that footstool right where it is.

Probably will (lol). It's my favorite footstool. The lids opens to place things inside. Very handy!

Awww, that is soooooooo sweet. I love the idea of your grandbaby having something made by his great-grandma. I'm thinking your DIL will be delighted too.

PO, that chokes me right up. The lucky girl! What I would have given to have been able to hear my boys' heartbeats before they were born. That's a real gift for her. Can't wait to see the first "baby pictures" I'm assuming you and Renda will both post them here.

You've been a wonderful woman to adopt and love boys that did not come from your own body. That is very special to me, Margie!

Yes, I will post the baby pictures. Can't wait! The shower is in July and I'm already buying stuff. Bought 40 yards of cream tulle for the food and gift tables! Can't wait to get that measured and the casing sewed on. I want the tables to look like bassinets.

Re: PO's Best Christmas Present EVER!!!!!

I got my "Funny You Don't Look Like a Grandmother" book from Renda in the mail today!!!!

It's going to be a fun read. I've read a little already. I'll probably skip over the chapter, "Sex and the Single Grandmother".

Thanks, Renda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, you might want to read it - - the advice about the pink light bulb is good!

"With a flick of a switch, a pink light blulb can erase more years than Estee Lauder with a six-month regimen."

LOL! I read this to my husband and he said, "You don't need a pink light bulb. If you got any younger looking, you'd be jail bait."
