Re: What makes YOU a Conservative Apostolic?

I don't even pretend to be conservative.

But most of the world would think I am Amish.

At my brother in laws funeral one of the ladies from my siter´s church (baptist) came up to me and said, " Sherry never told me she had a sister that was Amish and proceded to tell me how she like the Amish cooking......!"

Jewelry is ok, but don't start looking like Mr.T or don't look like a Mrs. T.

Wedding band are a symbol of the never ending love, 'it is a circle' love never ends, why would it be wrong to show evidence of your love for your spouse

To the knees are fine, even pants are fine, but make sure the fit is femanine-for ladies and masculine for men.

Electronics are not sin. But again be careful what you watch cause it may start a slide down a slope you can not turn back around on.

Internet ain't sin, but it is more dangerous than TV, IMO. But there are many safty filters you can added to help those wondering eyes.

New music and old music should mesh together. There are OVER played song that need to be retired, but I like the oldies and the newbies

Following what your preacher says can save you at times. Not all they say is Biblical take it with a grain of salt, if you see it in the Book then follow it. Not listening to the pastor is not a sin, but they 'do watch for your souls' so it is safe to say they SHOULD have your best interests at heart.

Add more here if you like. I just want to see if all those that claim they are conservatives but others here are not, believe the same. What really makes someone a conservative? [/QUOTE]

I would not be considered in this movement to be a Con, maybe a Mod at best and Lib to the extreme. I am fine with what ever I am called as long as God calls me friend and those that see me and how I live and they call me a Christian cause I exude Christ.

Many times what we are labeled depends on whose eyes we are looking from...

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Conservatives who are veterans of forums don't care to waste any more pearls. No matter how conservatives state and back up their beliefs, the other side finds ways to discount it, if even denying the bible in black and white.

I can't believe there is even a question.

um, do you really want specifics?

I believe that we are all wrong on something. No one is right on everything. I believe that God will "reprimand" us in the life to come, either for where we lack, or where we go overboard. This covers everyone from the ultra con to the liberal. Our works will be tried by fire.
