Re: When Will A Respected and Influential Leader S
Does anyone have many more names besides LS in the org. who have taught this to this degree? I still think that this is being blown way out of proportion and that the predictions as to what this will do to the org. are being overstated.
What also concerns me is that in these discussions I am hearing the same kind of overstated extremes that I here in political debates. I have certainly never heard hair presented as a substitute for all of the other things that the Bible instruct us to live by.
I have heard plenty teaching to our women about Godly character, and how to be a woman of God in and out of the home. Stating things in such extremes just clouds the issue and makes meaningful, effective discussion that may actually go somewhere impossible.
As it stands, I feel like I'm on about day four in Ground Hog Day

If he does, someone needs to fast forward it to the Pentecostal Herald and disseminate it to the general membership in the churches who have been misinformed.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves

Thank you. My thoughts exactly. I NEVER heard this preached.

I am not quite sure how you would define "unpure" as it pertains to motives for attempting to shine the light on this doctrine (among some)?
When someone sees a photo of a woman shaking her head over an offering plate along WITH A CAPTION proclaiming the reason for doing so, wouldn't that bring up the EXACT same thoughts brought up by my pic of the Magic Hair board game by Parker Brothers?

Just my opinions, you don't have to agree with me.

Indeed.
The word "overkill" comes to mind.

I tend to look at everything like the classic ink blot test. I see something and I immediately think of something else (usually related.... sometimes not). I saw picture A and the first thing to pop into my head was picture B.

If they were, I might have the teeniest tiniest bit of respect for it. I don't have any.
A false teaching can be dealt with in much more wise and sensible ways than this craziness.
It's actually more of a joke.
I don't believe the motives for this are anything less than throwing yet another barb in the direction of the uncut hair doctrine.
(Here's Mrs. LPW getting serious on the forum again. Don't worry, it won't last.
I know better where to put my energies. But surely some of you can see through all this to the real motives behind this big online push)

I don't mind humor, my problem isn't with you personally RW... just so you know.
The whole debunk the magic holy hair stuff isn't coming from people who appreciate the uncut ladies hair and want to keep the doctrines pure.
And it's becoming silliness, masquerading as concern.
Fact is, when false doctrines arise, we aren't to address them with foolishness.

There is a history that perhaps you are unaware of TS ... it's roots come from two popular books of two popular ladies conference teachers.
