It's true that the RCC has staked a claim on any church that baptizes in the titles.

He said he was solid in his beliefs and planned on attending.
Anybody ever been in this type of situation....meaning believing oneness and attending trinity? We do use trinitarian material to teach and preach from at times. We read books written by trinitarians and gleen from them.
Can we sit on there pews and not waver and yet still be fed and grow?

A true believer can serve God most anywhere, Daniel serve God in Babylon, Moses parents served God in Egypt, what is a matter with moderns that have to have everything perfect to live for God????

Man, you've gotten ornerier lately.
The doctrine of the Trinity really is such a hodge-podge anymore that few who attend "Trinitarian churches" could even define the doctrine in a properly "orthodox" fashion. Why condemn folks who have just gotten tired of arguing about an ancient Neo-Platonic way of describing the world and its Creator? Most "Trinitarians" that I know accept a "Oneness" explanation and call it "Trinity." Go figure.
And despite their claims to the contrary, the RCC did not "invent the Doctrine of the Trinity" nor was it "invented at Nicea" (325 AD). The RCC didn't even exist, per se, until after the Muslim conquests wiped out most of Rome's rivals in the 7th and 8th century.

Re: Can a oneness believer make it to Heaven...
In Austin Texas there are three records that bear witness of one person.
Birth Certificate - that I was born on Sept., 1939, a female.
Driver's License - that I have sucessfully passed a written exam
and driver's test. Photo included.
Marriage License - that on July 11, 1959, I became a wife.
These three witnesses prove that I am who I say I am! And these three
witnesses speak of one person.
Just some more thoughts. MY thoughts. Not intended to offend anyone.
Blessings,
Falla39

Jesus in not part of the trinity He is triune in Himself. I love to see the W&S crowd try to explin away the fact the there is a very real and important distinction in scripture between the Father, Son and the HG. But yet it all ties together in the end. Jesus says if you seen me you seen the father. He also states me and the Father are one. So if comes together, but funny that people on here act there is more than one Jesus. A catholic Jesus is the same Jesus I serve, but they do not give Him the proper authority in their beliefs. Same man, but not given the credit He deserves.

Re: Can a oneness believer make it to Heaven...
It amazes me when I keep seeing people on AFF saying that most Trinitarians they know have a view of God very similar to Oneness believers -- but they just describe it differently from us. (??!!)
When I see stuff like that I keep wondering:who are these Trinitarians these guys are meeting? ..where are they finding these people? 'Cause most Trinitarians I've come across have a view of God very different from ours... which is why they so often use tritheistic-sounding language to describe God.

Got to your local trinitarian church and ask the people there. You will find that most of them can not and will not explain it the same. Go to your local UPC or ALJC church and you will experience the same. Many I know are similar to us, not all of them, but when you get them away from the packaged or as you say tritheistic talk many are just like us. I honestly can not tell you 1 that I have met that actually beleive in three seperate people or thrones or whatever in heaven. None I know.

About the only thing I have found that we have in common is that we both say there is only one God. We differ on who He is, a difference that makes all the difference in the world.

Re: Can a oneness believer make it to Heaven...
isn't the only biblical requirement that they believe Jesus is God... and everything beyond that is just speculation? Does it have to be dissected to an atomic level for salvation?
