You said that God detests the UPCI and have yet to show why or prove that your statement is factual. I am so fed up with reading about what's wrong with the Church (including the UPCI)! It's time to start offering some solutions and stop with the finger pointing.

The literal way they did it was through house churches, which makes perfect sense, since the Church was in its infancy. The Church is no longer in its infancy, Alex. It has developed into what we have today, flawed as it may be. To make statements that God detests the UPC shows a serious lack of discernment, in my opinion.

The NT church sold their possessions and gave ALL to the church. Have you and the other members of your church done this?

Speaking for your leaders now? I'm not sure your pastor would appreciate you speaking for him in the manner you do above. I don't know of any pastor that would extent that kind of invitation to someone on the internet.

This was not a commandment, it was the choice of those joining the church in the book of Acts. If you'll read one of my previous posts, you'll see how we hold all things in common in the assembly I attend.
But it was commanded for Titus to appoint elders in every city.
Ya know, for being as smart as you are, you certainly can be a bit dense at times. You most certainly have hijacked this thread. It wasn't started as a discussion on what isn't godly about the UPC or organizations in general, Alex. Someone who happens to love the organization started a thread to express those feelings. You come along with unfounded accusations, like the one about God detesting the UPC, and then try to say you aren't hijacking the thread. Believe me, I admire your zeal, but you have a lot to learn.

It's not about bashing the UPC. It's about asking the questions of why the UPC is here? What is it's Scriptural authority? and if the Church should be divided by denominations?
