I don't know which posts you are talking about because the LS thread ran its course when I was on my hair thread fast. However, I can imagine some of the things that were said and don't doubt for a minute that things got heated. It's been my experience that people from both sides of the aisle can say things in such a way that causes the other side to get defensive. If anything, both sides would be better served by learning how to better present their case.
Back on FCF, the discussions were heated, but much more civil in tone. The "slash and burn" approach took root after Jim died. For some reason, we've never been able to get back to how we discussed issues during the early days of posting. I believe it's because the foundation upon which our interacting with other, namely that we would discuss our differences while maintaining a certain decorum, was destroyed and has not been rebuilt with subsequent versions of FCF.
I think part of it is the novelity has worn off. The forums have been going for years now, and then it was a new thing.

I think the young man's posts concerning the reputation of Bro. Lee Stoneking and Ruth Harvey and some others have been very much out of line.
I don't like it one little bit when someone's character or reputation is brought onto Question as has these two.
Teaching false doctrine is worth fighting over. I threw down a bit too hard on them, but it still doesnt change the fact they are teaching heresy to large groups of people who will take their word as gospel and bring it back from the conferences to implement into their home church thus expanding the damage. They don't get a pass because of who or what they hold a license with.

If you're so concerned, go on a week fast, that God might intercede. You're complaining will do nothing!
Nah... bleeding heart liberals are easy to spot, and summarily dismiss. I think there are other factors at play.
Sorry to bust your clout bubble though.

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
It's the us four and no more syndrome demonstrated so well in other areas... kick out the preterists... quit because someone is allowed to advertise on TV... and the list continues.
