I wonder if that was the reasoning behind some of the things the Roman Catholic church did? You give your sheep too little credit.

I agree. I have seen several families backslide due to internet content, but weblogs are accessible to all. I think the ship has sailed.

The real underlying question now may be: How many preaching engagements did MM lose because of that single MySpace post?

He definitely calculated the risk. He begged his more conservative brothers not to retaliate. However, he placed himself in a bad position.

The fact that he had to "beg", or even be concerned about it, just for expressing his opinion says a LOT of negative things about our organization as a whole. *sigh*

Listen and learn johnmark: I grew up in an evangelist turned pastor's home, and I know that. But the man still has his priorities straight, and enough backbone to state what he thinks even if it does get him blackballed.
