We have jumped off course ... haven't we Elder ... you wanted to fit 1 John 5 into your doctrine but it doesn't ...

I will not chase the red herrings w/ you ... I had fun picking you apart.

Old debators trick I will let the reader decide who is answering and who is evading.
1 John 5 fits will the rest of the plan it is beautiful.

The pronouncment of leprosy and it's cleansing in Lev. 13 & 14 also are beautiful types.
One bird (a Heavenly creature) is killed in an EARTHEN vessel.
The Living Bird(resurrection) dipped in blood sent away.
The killing involves WATER.
Then the leper is WASHED in WATER.
The OIL is poured on the head of the leper.
The leper is THEN pronounced clean.

I love 1 John 5 ... read it and weep ... Welcome to the NO SPIN ZONE...

1 John
Chapter 5
1

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves (also) the one begotten by him. 2 In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, 4 for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith. 5 Who (indeed) is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is the one who came through water and blood, 2 Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth. 7 So there are three that testify, 8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one accord. 9 If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is surely greater. Now the testimony of God is this, that he has testified on behalf of his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life. 13 3 I write these things to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God.

CONTEXT, CONTEXT, CONTEXT.

Daniel,
The message is just easy and plain.

The good news = Eternal life. Eternal Life = the Gospel message.

What is that message?

Eternal Life

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Titus 3:7 "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

What is that hope for obtaining eternal life? - The gospel

Colossians 1:5 "For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;"

The Gospel is Christ in you:

27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory?

How do we get Christ in us?

Acts 2:38 - "For the Promise is unto you."

That just doesn't seem real hard.

Dr. Seagraves gave a bible-based compelling argument for why each item in the Tabernacle does not point to our worship but to Him.... Elder Epley wants you to speculate.

Once again the quote:

Quote:
While the Tabernacle of old was definitely a figure (Greek parabole) (Hebrews 9:9), no New Testament verse seeks to interpret the meaning of each item associated with Tabernacle worship. By necessity, then, much of the interpretation regarding the Tabernacle is speculative at best. What the New Testament does clearly indicate is that the essential purpose of the Tabernacle worship, as a whole, was to prefigure the coming Christ and His role as the final and only efficacious sacrifice (Hebrews 9:8-14, 23-26; 10:1-21; Colossians 2:16-17; Galatians 3:24).

I love Hebrews 9 .... it too is about HIM!!!

Hebrews 9

1Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

When I Think About The Lord

When I think about the Lord
How He saved me, How He raised me
How He filled me with the Holy Ghost
He healed me to the uttermost

When I think about the Lord
How He picked me up, Turned me around
How He set my feet, On solid ground

Chorus

And it makes me wanna shout, Hallelujah
Thank You Jesus, Lord You’re worthy
Of all the glory and all the honor and all the praise

And it makes my wanna shout Hallelujah
Thank You Jesus, Lord You’re worthy
Of all the glory and all the honor and all the praise
Hallelujah, Thank You Jesus, Lord You’re worthy
Of all the glory and all the honor and all the praise (2x’s)
and all the praise and all the praise

My Lord the most powerful message on earth - the Gospel!!!

All the Tabernacle is first and primarily fulfilled in Christ as every OT type THEN His relationship in dealing with man that places the individual in Christ.

Again BLOOD-WATER-OIL-FIRE. Read the record of these sacrifices and cleansings.
