That would lead to large foundations, banks, think tanks etc. Which in turn leads to European nobity, the Vatican chivalric and Masonic orders, and the Rothschilds, Zionists, and the claimed descendants of Old Roman nobility (including the family of Herod).

Allow me to quote from p. 281 Search For Truth #2, Word Aflame Press (Reprint 2006 version) teachers manual:

" On May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation. As expected, the fig tree was adopted as the Israeli national symbol. Therefore, the "last generation" began in 1948. But how long is a Jewish generation? When will it mature? According to Jewish genealogy (Mat. 1:17), the Bible (Psalm 95:10), and the Dead Sea scrolls (under "Religious Belief and Practices"), a generation is forty years." ......."We are that generation! Of that group who witnessed Israel's restoration, some will still be living at the coming of Christ."

So if a person was born in the year 1948 and lived 40 years (a Jewish generation) then, (by using my higher math skills) we get 1988. Did I get that right?

A book by Edgar Whisenant came out around that time, entitled "88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will be in 1988". Whisenant was quoted as saying "Only if the Bible is in error am I wrong; and I say that to every preacher in town" and "[I]f there were a king in this country and I could gamble with my life, I would stake my life on Rosh Hashana 88."

About the only thing I agree with on p. 281 of the SFT 2 teachers manual is that a Jewish generation is 40 years........

Not only does Whisenant build his predictions on the questionable interpretation of biblical symbols, he also builds them on historical dates for which there is little consensus among either biblical scholars or archaeologists. For example, in Reason #14 he states that The New Scofield Reference Bible gives 602 B.C. as the date when Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the idol with the bead of gold.27 Whisenant then makes the following extrapolation: “Therefore, 602 B.C. less [sic] the 70 years of the Babylonian captivity equals 532 B.C.; and 532 B.C. less 2,520 years equals 1988 as the end of the times of the gentiles. So here we have shown that Rosh-Hash-Ana 1988 is the exact end of the church age.”28 The NIV Study Bible, however, places Nebuchadnezzar’s second year of reign during 604 B.C.;29 and The Expositor’s Bible Commentary says it was between April 603 and March 602 B.C.30 It is possible, therefore, that 602 B.C. is an incorrect date from which to count. If it is indeed an incorrect date, then it would throw off Whisenant’s calculations not only in Reason #14 but also in several other Reasons (#‘s 19, 28, 35, 38, and 60).
