Could you please let God know that He REALLY messed things up when He created woman and gave her the desires that He did? The desire for beautiful things, soft things, lacey, frilly things. Colorful things, pretty things.

It's because of this that makes me a woman. And different from you, a man.

I love to make my house nice, my hair nice, to dress nice, and to wear make-up that enhances my own beauty. I want everything to be beautiful.

How dare God create us with that???

If you ask me, it's those that refrain, calling it Godly, that are actually fighting against the very nature that God created in them.
The funny thing is that old time Pentecost is supposed to emphasize the difference between the sexes and treasure femininity yet they have rules against much of what differentiates a woman from a man.

Nicely done makeup and jewelry on women are much more of a differentiation from most men (with the possible exception of men in San Fransicso) than the difference between womens slacks and men's pants.

yisrolem,

Based on the totality of what you have shared in your posts I am very surprised you deem the internet as an appropriate place to be.

Good question. We use it with filter, in a common area, or they are kept in a public place of business . The ordained elders that constitute our local governing body get a report of ALL internet activity. I have been called authorized and set apart for this mission.

Filters will always let some bad stuff through. (My posts, for example. )

Yes! Sort of! He said in another thread that there is no scripture against smoking crack. Therefore, since there is no scripture against using make-up either, using make-up is forbidden. (OK, he didn't say it quite like that. I made up that last part. What he really said was that Biblical principles are what tell us that make-up is forbidden. He hasn't specified those principles yet, that I know of.)

Bro. Hoovie, Loben den Herren meine Seele. [Translation] Bless the Lord Oh my soul ! Psalm 103 . When we left UPC there was a minister and a few others,I was then ordained in the ministry later . We have never been huge although through the years some of us have preached some sizable meetings. God's people have always been culturally different. We are and always have been independent due mainly to our distinctive application of Holiness. I have close family members that are prominent in the leading Oneness organizations , and it pains me to see the move toward Hollywood . What can I offer a dying world if I'm down in the same filth they are? After we withdrew our fellowship from UPC the UPC Pastor backslid within 5 years.
Blessings!
PS we are non birth control
You sound very proud of yourself and quite self righteous. Maybe you ought to work on that holiness.

Actually, I don't think he has come across that way at all. Simply having conservative views doesn't make a person proud or self-righteous. I haven't sensed a bad attitude whatsoever--and here at the AFF we've certainly experienced a lot of bad attitudes!

I agree with the bolded part. I would never let my son or daughter have a computer in their room with net access. I did (have my own PC in my room) growing up in the dial up days and KNOW the junk I saw both purposefully and accidentally. My folks didn't have a clue. I am (would be) also all for seeing a report on what my kids did online. Where I draw the line is allowing other adults to see what I am doing online. This has come up in other threads and I always said that if I went to a church which demanded that (which I wouldn't, but IF I did....) I would purposefully give the elders/pastor something to *gasp!* over.... LOL

Funny thing is, I have purposefully surfed porn sites AT WORK (a school) in order to see what kids were looking at when we examined their surfing history. The sites they were visiting were not even good porn site (artistically speaking) but junk that fellow teens with no imagination (or sense of romance) were publishing.
