Seems I remember a girl from the church my wife was out of posed for "art". I thought it was rather strange - seeing we were "Holiness" and all.

Like I said in an earlier post, I took a class where we drew nude models. There was absolutely NOTHING sexual about it. Please!! We had one person posed nude, but not provocatively in the center of the room. There were several of us in the class - I want to say 10-15, but it was a long time ago so my rememberer is not all that great. I do remember the instructor telling us tho that if we were looking for a "Playboy Type Situation" we were in the wrong place. We were here to study muscles, bones and the human body. NOT private parts as sexual parts.

My question for ILG's buddy is: did he pose for this kind of class? Or was he posing for something like Playgirl (wasn't there a magazine called that at one time???)

Yes, Margie, there was such a magazine - although when I bought a copy in the early 80's - Sylvester Stallone was NOT naked!!!

Anyway, the magazine was initially targeted for women, but the gay community were the biggest viewers and thus the magazine went under. Heard an interview by the Editor on that.

This sums up modesty perfectly, I think.

LOL! I did not ask. I assumed it was an art thing.

Re: Offended

Last night I was offended too.

I was watching what was called a "Black, Christian Video". It was about this single woman looking for a husband. She prayed once in the early part of the show....went drinking and partying and possibly sleeping with guys, smooching them all and telling some she loved them etc to moving in with a guy for a year who she fought with and was going to break up with. At this point in the movie she quoted a couple of scriptures to her friends and then her boyfriend asked her to marry him and the movie was called Leap of Faith. So, her "leap of faith" was marrying him after they had gotten into a fight. Good grief.

Not just medical texts. Also artists who want to draw the form of the human body correctly. If you want to move beyond stick figures, or comic book figures, you have to learn the structure of the human body.
