Thad,

Send the email to Boom and he can decide if it should be posted or not.

well, Elder Price did a good job of keeping a lid on things out that way but California has been a difficult place for many many years. the last 25 or so have been especially difficult.

So, did Bro. Mullins resign or simply say that he would not allow his name to be considered again?
There is a big difference.

To the Western District:

Greetings in Jesus' name. I pray that this finds you well and enjoying God's best! Eight years ago I received the incredible honor of being elected your superintendent. These intervening years have been both challenging and in some cases rewarding. I thank you for you many kindnesses to Sis. Mullings and me. These have been highlights in our lives. THANKS!

As I now look to the future challenges facing us as a District I realize I am very tired and weary. While I do believe that God's grace is sufficient and He is very present help, I also realize that human ability and energy does have limits. I feel like I have given you my best. I genuinely hope you feel that way also. Whatever the case, I have now reached one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I am writing to let you all know that I have decided it is time for me to step aside as your superintendent.

Please know that I love you all so much. Thank you for all the help and support over this time. There will always be a special place in our hearts for our memories of this season in our lives.

God bless you all,

Ron Mullings

You would question what Thad posted and what was asked by me in Post #3 that no one answered?!?

Seems like he is not going to serve past the District Conference.

This will not matter in the South anyway since they have voted to succeed.

Still matters. The south cannot secede without the approval of the General Board and the General Conference floor.

Was his term up at conference or did he have another year to go. Isn't this the Secretary year?
Answer to own question - if he has served for 8 years this would be election year (unless he originally was voted in to serve an unexpired term.)

The GB approved the division, and there is a vote in the North at the District Conference I think May 17- There is a Southern Vote on Saturday May 19th.

If memory serves me correctly, they could place votes on that Saturday in the New District also.
