1. he DOESN'T TYPICALLY GET DRUNK ... because his physiology does not handle it:
2. states the ill-effects it has ...
It's dishonest at best to say he's GLORIFYING drunkeness in these statements or anyone else has ... it AIN'T THERE.
It ain't worth it Dan..... Preconceived ideas are the most powerful. It would be like finding out that PP owns a red car, and since a red car killed a cousin of mine, throw a raging fit against PP for killing my cousin. Upon finding out that it WASN'T PP's red car that killed my cousin, continuing my rage against PP because I am unwilling to give up my initial outrage......

It's not worth it because for some reason you wanted to log on to AFF and brag about your great drinking prowess, and I refuse to give you a free pass to do it without comment.
My preconceived idea is that many drunks hurt people.
i THINK there is clear indication that stong drink (liquer) is verbotten.
am i wrong on that one?
asking all with sencerity.
Your very correct. Wine (and mostly likely beer) were probably the only alcoholic beverages back then. The hard stuff is a fairly new invention involving heavy distilling and not at all practical since it took so much work for such little output. Wine and beer resulted in a nearly 1 to 1 input/output ratio and was used for just about everything since nothing else stored properly. Not even water.

Deuteronomy 14:26
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household
Proverbs 31:6
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Proverbs 31:5-7 (in Context) Proverbs 31 (Whole Chapter)
