I did not mean to be argumentative Amos. I just think the majority of UPC adherants know about this issue. It is not just a ministerial issue, it affects the entire denomination.

Why did MM take a TV stand if he doesn't have a TV to put on it?

And Sister, it has nothing to do with thinking saints are stupid.
But by and large, I personally prefer to keep organizational strife to myself. I don't preach it or talk about it with the saints.

I am not in any way offended, Brother.
But I doubt if any of the saints in our church have a clue about the resolution, or even that there are such things.
They know we are a part of the UPC, but it doesn't affect them in any signifigant way.

No pastor should, but we live in a new world where communication takes place in an instant. The advent of internet foiled the idea that we could control the release of information to those we love and wish to protect.

Just curious as to what you meant.

I really didn't think you did (think saints are stupid)...just being a smarty pants I suppose... *sigh*
I prefer my pastor's approach. He is honest about things that are going on, without being critical. I don't see how anything is gained by keeping problems to yourself. Especially if that strife can or will affect the church (presently or in the future).

I do think Matt's post lends credence to the idea that internet content is powerful. I have recieved phone calls about his post today. People are buzzing.
I didn't realize he was that big of a personality.

I have discouraged our people from involving themselves in these kinds of settings.
Perhaps that makes me appear inconsistent, or worse, but the fact is sheep are by nature more impressionable and easily swayed by false voices than leaders are.

To each his own...
I don't feel obligated to discuss every wave of controversy that blows through the organization with the saints.
I think I am honest, and would answer any question I was asked truthfully, but I don't know why it would be beneficial to any of them to hear all the junk that has been bandied back and forth.
