Once again ... I don't doubt this report but if we cannot express doubts here .... then we need to examine other threads where they have been expressed.

Dan,
He is speaking of two men of God, one of them a member of this forum.
The character of these two men is being impugned.
Spin it all you want, but that is supposed to be against the rules.

The man is saying that George Guy and Doug White are fakes.
How is that acceptable?

Calling men of God "liars" seem to be fashionable around here. I am sorry for this sad state of affairs. My heart hangs heavy from it. Yes, I come very near quitting very recently after having been called a liar too. In fact, I am still thinking about it. This might just be the right time to do it, in solidarity with Coonskinner and bro. Jones too.

Not once did RW express that these spefic men were lying ... not once.
But accusing the people of God of lying is not new here ...
This is one recent post that inferred I was a liar:

So I am left with the impression that you simply do not know what you believe, or that you are lying to us all. As you first state that you believe that Water baptism is to be done in Jesus name, and then you spend the rest of the thread tearing down that very doctrine.
Let me state that I have posted with you thus far as a poster. I am now stepping in as an admin to let you know that the propagation of ANY doctrine that undermines the doctrine of the Oneness of God, or that Jesus name baptism is the biblical mode of water baptism is not welcomed here. If you want to continue down that course, then Admin will take action. We will allow debate as to whether one is saved at belief, or at baptism, or at the reception of the Holy Ghost. But we will NOT allow debate as to any of these topics not being biblical.

CS, where did he post that stuff? I must have missed it.
I'm not doubting you Bro. Was it toward the front of the thread?

Yes he did. That is exactly what he is indicating.

But in the meantime there are MANY gifts of the spirit. One that I have been given (and it is as much of a curse as it is a blessing) is the gift of discernment. It is a gift that ranks right up there with "patience" when it comes to the pain of constantly being tested. Oh, how I would LOVE to be able to fall into emotional ecstasy over everything that cannot be immediately explained and not have little things like this bother me.... But they do.
When a MAJOR tragedy happens and someone seems to magically "know" what happened, what I find more amazing then the "word of knowledge" is the fact that the guy didn't know about the tragedy ahead of time! Something as big as that impresses me about as much as someone who says "and the next card you pull from the top will be the queen of diamonds" -after being given a minute to rifle through the deck and see what order they were in. But as long as the prediction is made with authority, volume, and in a scary voice, the crowds "oooohhhhhhhssss!" at the wonderment of it all. Most are afraid to even question the validity for fear of committing blasphemy. In fact the one making the statements is protected by a house of logic that precludes the possibility of questioning.
Again, I haven't read any of the posts since making my last and really need to run for a bit but I suspect I am in the extreme minority here, but be that as it may I sense something in Denmark and it ain't pretty.

I don't know that I would ever call a gift of the Spirit a curse.
This post is disturbing for a variety of reasons.

The Spirit does NOT produce cynicism as he says.
It isn't a curse either.
What he is feeling doesn't appear to be discernment to me.
