How convenient.
You are typical.

Mind science? Oh, Chris, is that yet another topic you are clueless about?
So, you have built a religion that teaches as long as you are skin and bone and not a full spirit being. You are going to be subject to doing all sorts of things brought on by temptations? Meaning, you actually have no control of yourself, and really neither does God. Because you are apt to give into desires, but when you do, you are quickly forgiven because after all you live in a sinful human body? That's not Gnosticism? Adam nature has nothing to do with what we are made out of, it has to do with how we think, what we desire, not with our skin and bones.

Re: Sinless Perfection
Therefore Jesus tells Nicodemus to be born again.
Nicodemus thinks it is about his human body.
Jesus corrects him and tells him it is spiritual rebirth.
Good God from Zion!

We are dead to sin. We do all that we do by faith. This can be just as real as salvation itself. Just believe Yah's word. Act as if it is true. Sin is abnormal for the disciple of Christ.

That's in the here and now.
Having dominion over oneself through the power of Jesus Christ as the head.

Re: Sinless Perfection
Matthew 16:24 Jesus tells His students to deny themselves, and take up the instrument of Roman execution. Did Jesus tell them to all be executed physically? Or not my will, but your will be done. It is talking about human wills changing to fit God's will. Too simple, boys and girls, too simple.

He believed we can live above sin. As do I. But he didn't deny that we had, what he called, "stinkin', sinful, flesh" to overcome daily. As do I.
1 Corinthians 9:27
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. It's my understanding that sinless perfection doctrine denies the sinful nature of the flesh, ie, the body, that we'll contend with until death or glorification. It teaches a deification if the flesh in the present that eradicates the sinful nature of the flesh, leading one to live a 100% sin free life with zero sinful nature to contend with.
Pastor Shearer never taught that.

Re: Sinless Perfection
Well, out of 7 voters in the poll, 6 agree with the Bible. So there's that.

So we shouldn't water baptize the body? Now you're sounding Quaker! Lol
Jesus said water and Spirit. That involves body and Spirit. See, it's all a partial perspective.
Come into the fullness of understanding, and be saved.

Here you go, there's the excuse for Aquila.
Wow, my old pastor called it "stinking thinking" and he knew your old pastor.
So, Chris when Jesus said that to look upon a woman and lust after her. Was it in your body, or in your heart?
