Me too! CS knows I hate the Toro Award for that reason.

Did you guys have eight tracks? Record players?

My dad had a bunch of Merle Haggard eight tracks. "Okie from Muskogee", "Mama tried", and all that sad stuff.

records when I first came on the scene....at least from what i remember my mom having. I remember when i could record myself on cassette tapes.... that was the coolest thing ever... I recorded right over my mothers "Hinsens" tape. It was n't funny then but it is a crackk up to listen to me and Kenny Hinsen sing..!!!

I had Andre Crouch, Nancy Grandquist, LWT, and lots more 8-tracks! I loved my 8 track player!!! It was so hip compared to a record player.

What's funny now is that my 18 year old son just bought a turntable and is buying "vinyls" that are just record albums to me. But he thinks they're ultra cool!

I had a little green record player that had an AM radio built in. I would stick it under my pillow at night and listen to all the clear channel stations from around the country like WCCO in Minneapolis, WLS in Chicago, KMOX in St Louis, WWL in New Orleans and more. It was fascinating to a kid with no tv.

The first stereo I ever purchased was a Monteverdi (I have no idea why i still remember that name) 8 track/record player/radio.

We had Lanny Wolfe 8 tracks... I remember Jimmy Swaggart... probably an Elvis gospel 8 track.

There's no telling... that was a good while back.
