Much of the issue probably has to do with where we were raised, the ( central ) San Joaquin Valley.
Alright, I said all that to say nothing, really. LoL

What is a racial "sell out"? Someone who is Hispanic, perhaps, but doesn't act "Hispanic"?

Growing up my family would say things like "you think you're white" and "you're a coconut". ( brown shell, white inside )
It is pretty pathetic seeing as how my family did nothing to help the situation. They did not teach me the language, and they did not teach me the culture.
I didn't help the situation, using words with more than five letters. LoL. And being monotone made it even worse... add pompous and arrogant. ( ahh, I'm revealing the real me, underneath the introversion )
and
* gasp *
He's a Republican! LoL
Anyway, the answer to your question is "yes."
And anyone who displays a modicum of class and education is also branded as a sellout. I believe that this applies also in tthe black community. The black equivalent to "coconut" is "oreo." Sad stuff, really.
Now, I wonder if this is problematic in the Anglo culture. What do ignorant "whites" think of the educated? They can't say "you think you're white!" LoL

If a sellout in the black community is an "Uncle Tom", then what is a sellout in the Mexican/Hispanic? An "Aunt Maria"?

Hoity-toity. Uppity. "Think you're better than everybody else!"
Also, "You're gettin' too big for your britches!" Or, "I remember you when.....", or "just don't forget where you came from!"

I was joking with my boss when I said "you're a sellout to your people."
He corrected me "our people!"
"oh, right!" LoL
I've never heard that term. I'll ask about it tomorrow and update you.

Are you Caucasian? I think hispanics were classified as caucasian at one time.
Well, they can't say "you think you're black!" or "you act hispanic!" Maybe one day that will change. Don't know how probable, though. My recent observation is that ignorance is a bliss, be it white, black, brown, or yellow. People in general are plain stupid. Is that an over generalization?

No. I would say it's not.
Are you still working fast food?

Many times, unfortunately, no.
But I love them anyway.
