I'm 5'8" and am at least 6 feet tall when I'm in heels. And I LOVE those heels!! I'm really glad Eddie is tall, because I tower over a lot of men. I always wanted to be short too! It's not bad now, but when you're in high school/college and taller than the boys, it's not fun.

Re: Your NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

I resolve to spend more time on AFF.

I've really neglected it over the past few months.

oddest thing, God led me to do that fast for 21 days which ended Christmas eve... first time I have ever lost 5lbs through the Christmas season instead of gaining.

Now a group at church is starting it Monday... so my neice and I are doing it together...

beware coming off that fast.. everything I have eaten this week has made me sick...I am looking forward to going back on it... my system got used to the healthy stuff.

Re: Your NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

I resolve to draw closer to the Lord in prayer and reading the word... I want to be a better Christian...and mom.

I lost 35lbs last year... I would like to double it this year... if I don't, well, then I will take whatever weight loss I do. Most important is I want to be healthy and eat healthy.

I've never fasted that long--I would love to try it, though. I remember the first time I ever tried 3 days--I made the mistake of breaking it with a glass of orange juice!!! LOL!!! I was in the bathroom throwing up within minutes!!!

My Dad fasted 21 days (at least once), (just water, though--not the Daniel) and he came off of it very gradually. I remember him sitting at the table with a bottle of V8 and taking Tbs. of it at a time, then waiting a little while, and taking another Tbs. The next day he would add on clear soups, etc.

Re: Your NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

I do know a good brother once who fasted forty days and he had sugar and at the end of the fast he went to the fish house and ate catfish and he passed.

yeah, I understand.... my friend has fasted 21 days a few times.. just water, and I don't know how he did it.

I had fasted 3 days several times before through troubled life circumstances.. but never longer until this past summer.

I fasted a week .... I ended up drinking some broth after 5 days and then the last day some juice. I have to say it was one of the most spiritual times I've experienced. You get to the point you want to eat because you are hungry, but food is almost foreign... weird feeling and you have to start back so slow.

I like to be led on fasts and know that God is leading me in that direction for a purpose. Strong holds were broken this past summer and it has been awesome to see God move in my life and in situations.

Maybe some here would like to do the daniels fast after the first of the year.. we could encourage each other.
