Labeling everything as SIN simply does not make it so, nor does it raise the status of the issue in question. It does expose their own weakness and their desire to compensate by becoming unquestionable.

There should absolutely be no reason why someone cannot personally be much more conservative than another brother in Christ, without dusting off his feet and crying, "anathema!".
Very good post SH! Your words are well thought out and wisely spoken.

If your referring to Jim Yohe, i knew him personally and was a friend to him. He was a liberal. Flat out. Which is fine because some of what I am today came from him.

Me? I'm sick of it.

I just want to hang with my brothers and sisters, talk about how good God is, and have fun.

Re: How did AFF go Lib under Conservative Leadersh

So maybe this is a season of discovery.

Are Libs and Cons codependent?

Will the absence of the polar opposite demand an acceptance that a discussion forum has lost its significance without the other, due to a lack of relevance?

Or….
Maybe it is just the pendulum swinging from choosing dissenting engagement to like-minded reflection?

Expending our energies ought to produce something of value. I believe that when a discussion board is the venue, most of the value is in personal reflection and thought development at the individual level. The reader is involved just to make sure we are reminded that recklessness involving ideas or word structures has consequences.
........

If AFF is morphing into the an apostolic form of the “View” or “Oprah”, the style of interaction will probably be forever changed and the participants will become very homogenous.

We do have a witness all around us that reminds us that.....
seasons come and seasons go.

I'm glad Jesus didn't mind fellowshipping with the lost folks.
