Another loss for Trump.

Cruz wins majority of delegates in North Dakota today. Cruz won 18 of 28 available delegates. These 28 will choose 2 among themselves to be on the RNC rules committee.

Only one of the 25 delegates selected Sunday has publicly signaled he might back Trump.

“This is a catastrophic outcome for the Trump campaign in North Dakota,” said Jason Miller, a senior adviser to Cruz. "Just when you thought the Donald’s horrible, very bad, no good week couldn’t get any worse, it just did.”

Did the people vote? How are these delegates awarded to Cruz? Is the North Dakota process different?

The delegates apply (105) and the voting attendees at the ND Republican convention select the delegates. Keep in mind that they are unbound, but they didn't pledge to support Trump.

The Republican Establishment can only dream about getting to Cleveland and stopping both Trump and Cruz. Cruz is the only person who is able to stop Trump. And while Trump is imploding, making him easier to stop, it also makes it harder to stop Ted Cruz.

More good news for Cruz / Trump is toast: """Sen. Ted Cruz is out-hustling Donald Trump and looks set to ensure many Arizona delegates will defect to him in a convention floor fight."""

""'Cruz, out of all the campaigns, has the most folks on the ground and has been the most organized," Michael Noble, a Republican consultant in Arizona who is neutral, told the Washington Examiner on Friday.

"Trump has no real organization in Arizona," added GOP strategist Sean Noble (no relation) in an email exchange. "Cruz will get most/all Arizona delegates on second ballot."""

While Trump may be a success in the business world, he's completely blown his chance to win the nomination outright, and now appears to be completely unprepared, unorganized and losing the ground game he badly needs to win a contested convention.

Exactly. Trump supporters are focused on Cruz needing a home run to win the nomination outright, when all Cruz really needs is a single, due to his grassroots work with delegates.

All of the Trumpsters are enraged on Twitter over Ted Cruz being dishonest, when he is simply following the rules of the game.

This is telling us that the delegates are not going to be loyal to a candidate who is turning sour as time goes on - Donald Trump.

Now, the Cruz campaign isn't guaranteed that the unbound delegates won't go for an Establishment pick in Kasich, so we will see. But, I am glad that Cruz has a good and well thought out ground game.

He said that before he decided to run, he and his team studied years of campaign strategies as to why those campaigns won or lost. They were preparing a long time ago.
