Coopie, you didn't answer my question. Would you report a kid stealing a grape from a grocery store produce aisle?

Circumstances matter, too. A ne'er do well who was loitering and interested in being a gang member might get my reporting dander up...but a man working hard every day and providing for his family? Not a chance.

I have one word for this thread: Rahab.

I do have a problem with it. They steal American jobs by working for a pittance. Don't tell me it doesn't happen.

Here's an idea.

How about they fix their own economic system instead of demanding we give them everything as they riot on our streets?

I recently sat in traffic court for about an hour and a half and witnessed at least a half dozen illegal Mexicans tell the judge they did not have drivers licenses and when he would ask why they would say (through an interpretere) simply that they "couldn't get one".

The judge would just nod then fine them. I think a cop should be there in the courtroom to pull any illegals out and turn them over to immigration.

I am all for legal immigration but the flood of illegals is destroying our country and wrong.
The INS is too busy to be worried about just a few illegals. If you call them, they are only interested if you have at least a busload.

Absolutely, and to continue on with a train of thought here, let me say this.

A U.S. citizen is my brother because we swear allegiance to this nation. I don't go around policing his every move because of that brotherhood.

I do not know the motives of an illegal immigrant. If he/she is here illegally, willingly flaunting our laws, why should I give my trust?

"Hispanics...what to do with them thread" is the reason Coop started this thread. For the record I believe that everyone should go through the legal process, but I think what is in question is why this thread was started. Is it pointed towards Hispanics in general, or illegal residents? Darcie was aggitated for that reason bro.

PP, they have the desire...and would if they could....the system isn't set up that way, that's all. There are sound ways to fix this situation and part of it includes fining them.

What is wrong and dishonorable about them sending money to their family? Would you like them to send it to you instead....many of them pay taxes with a tax payer ID number....so what's it to you what they do with their money. If you really are upset, why dont you crack down on the businesses that hire them....why dont you scream from the top of your lungs regarding these businesses....why aren't you demonstrating in front of their offices?

Oh right, some need their lawn cut, their gardens maintained, their deck built, their food prepared, their laundry done, their house cleaned....oh yeah, I forgot.

Why? If one of my children were to steal my car I would report them to the police immediately.

Let's have a hypothetical then, just for fun. If a man, woman and child knocked on our door and said they had no food, we would give them some, regardless of their citizenship. Against the law or not.

What of people who hid Jews? Or helped them when they were being persecuted by the government? What of missionaries who sneak into other countries to preach the Gospel? And no, I'm not comparing the immigrant plight to that of Jews...I'm saying that there is something to be said for doing the right thing, regardless of what law enforcement would prefer.

We are to obey the laws of the land, but when it comes to a question of legal vs. moral, choose moral. There is something in there about...obeying God rather than man.

The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance deride it, but in the end there it is....
Maybe because the overwhelming majority of illegals are Mexicans, J-Roc. Don't play dumb.
