before Superchic[k] came on, SDS had an altar call after the lead singer gave his testimony and preached a bit... our of the 3000 teens (almost all teens) who showed up, I'd venture that at least half responded to the altar call in the middle of the concert... some of them even missed some of Superchic[k]'s concert...

But, hey, keep getting those old-fashioned tent preachers and pretending its still 1950 and expecting people from 2007 to respond... But I have to let you in on a secret, it isn't gonna work anymore...

You have to be relevant to the people you are trying to reach in order to reach them... and old-fashioned tent preachers aren't relevant anymore....
Actually, in this day and age a tent revival would be quite the novelty.

for two, nice judgemental attitude there...

and rock and roll can save your soul... get out of the 1950s and let go of the racism of the era and get into the 20th century... (note: no, you aren't racist, but since our attitudes about Rock likely come from the 50s and 60s like every other attitude we have, we can refer to the FACT that the attitude against rock music was full of racism in that era...)

LOL! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!

but it wouldn't be a novelty that attracted a ton of people... I mean, it might in some places (I'd say down south = better chance than up north or out west), but in most places I just don't think it would attract the crowds that it did 40-50 years ago...

where am I being judgemental?? Pointing out how he is being judgemental isn't being judgemental...

being judgemental is more than just saying "you are doing this wrong"... He's being judgemental because he's accusing someone he doesn't know of doing something that he has no idea if they do or not....

I mean, is there something inherently wrong with a love song? I don't see why... I mean when we have weddings people sing love songs and everyone seems to be ok with that.....

Also, you picked a really bad time to rip on rock and roll, because the bands at the concert I mentioned (well, other than eleventyseven and decyfer down who I know very little about 'cuz they were 10 minute long openers) are some of ht emost ministry-minded bands in Christian Music...

SDS doesn't barely play concerts ANYWHERE... the only reason they exist is to get people to listen to the testimony of thier lead singer... that's it... To reach people with his testimony through getting people's attention with thier good music....

and the others are awesome... I could talk for an hour about how awesome Skillet is alone... so I won't...

I don't know... I just don't get the objection to music that isn't worship when it doesn't claim to be... There is no indication anywhere in the Scriptures that songs that were just songs didn't exist (I'd assume that, at minimum, they played songs that weren't worship in weddings in Jewish culture)...

and you weren't calling them as you saw them.. You didn't see anything, you just assumed and judged people when you knew nothing about them and nothing about what happened... Which is absolutely something the Bible tells us not to do.
Since you brought up the Bible, how about those scriptures that talk about denying oneself? How about the other ones that talk about loving not the world neither the things in the world? How do they fit in with your "what's wrong with self on some level" wisdom?

how many have I been to? I've been in the church since I was 11, so in 13 years I've been to a ton of revivals in multiple churches and the same thing always happens... 5 people TOPS get saved and everyone acts like this great thing happened and pretends 3,000 got saved just like in the Bible...

but it wasn't just like the Bible...
The Bible says all of Heaven rejoices over one sinner repenting. You know, for as long as you claim to have been in church you sure don't seem to know much about the Bible.
