"We've been known to get wild and let our hair hang down.
Drink till we get merry, rolling on the ground.
We've cranked up the music and we've danced all around."

I just wonder if we saw these words unrelated to this thread what idea it would give us.

LOL!!! Those lyrics rank right up there with some of Lanny Wolfe's "filler" songs used to have enough songs for an album back in the day. "The Party" comes to mind with that circus music.

It would still remind of Pennycostalized people.

A song that can be sung to a girlfriend, a guy picked up in the laundromat, a spouse.....
Hmmmm, I think a visitor to my church would figure out that we sing that to our God...unless they are really, really d u m b...Oh but I'm sure they know exactly what we are singing about when we say "The Royal Diedem"!!!! LOL I dont' even know that!

A few years ago, with our sanctuary filled with young people from all over, we sung that song, "You're All I Want" and it broke into a room filled with kids on their faces weeping before God as they were hungry for God to use them...we had to stop the order of everything and let His spirit wash over us all...it was absolutely one of the best moves I have ever been in and I have been around 2 blocks!

That part just reminded me of Sunday Night Blowout with the likes of "Let's All Go Down to the River" or "I'm a One God, Apostolic, Tonguetalking......"
and the place would go wild.

Maybe it is just being over 50, I need it a bit more placid, even tho I thought their Shockamoo.....was respectful. It was a lively presentation, but I think the second time everyone would have had enough, these type songs go away pretty fast.
