Hitler was a socialist (even though he later stated he didn't like the word socialism, he never retracted his views that aligned with it). He was an animal rights activist. He was for "spreading the wealth around". He supported nationalized health care. He supported gun control. He supported your favorite cause, pro-choice on abortion. Any of this sounding familiar?

Just a quick search on "Hitler's leftist policies" turned up several links, including these.

Yes, he was a fascist. A leftist fascist.

Re: Aquila? JD? Light? Why So Quiet?

Fascisti was the name of an Italian SOCIALIST movement.

Communism, Bolshevism, Fascism, Nazism (National SOCIALISM) are all just varieties of SOCIALISM, which itself is just a variation on the old FEUDALISM play.

Good grief.

Blah, blah, blah.... Democratic Socialism is not like Fascism. Hitler hunted down Democratic Socialists and had them killed too. It's a different animal.

Just because something is considered "Socialist" it doesn't mean that it is of the Fascist brand espoused by Hitler. Canada, Britain, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, Israel, etc.... are all "socialist" countries. And they are not Fascists. In fact, almost all of the top 10 nations businesses prefer to do business in as noted by Forbes Magazine are.... "socialist".

Technically, even America leans towards Democratic Socialism.

Re: Aquila? JD? Light? Why So Quiet?

I know wonderful brothers and sisters who live in "socialist" countries who are faithful Christians who love their respective countries. To go to an extreme, rejecting the differences, is only to disrespect and dishonor the body of Christ that doesn't abide in America.

We need a broader concept in our political paradigm.

A - can you give a link to prove your assertion on Hitler?

Here is a link that shows how he was for Socialist policies.

Why would you say that prochoice is my favorite cause? It isn't. In fact, I see every abortion as a tragedy. I'd always advise to choose life over abortion. I firmly believe that states should be within their rights to regulate abortion in accordance to viability.

You see, you've not really had this discussion with me, you're assuming something so that you can attack me with it. I think that's a rather emotionally unbalanced and dishonest manner of dialogue.

For the record, my "favorite cause", is H.R. 676. Just to keep you in the loop.

http://www.pnhp.org/publications/uni...are-act-hr-676

This cause is dear to me because of my personal experience of having lost a loved one who couldn't afford health insurance. Had they had health insurance, the odds are good that they'd still be here today. And prior to the ACA nearly 45,000 Americans died every year from treatable conditions because they couldn't afford treatments or procedures that were necessary to save their lives. You see, this rationed health care in America was allowing tens of thousands to die every year. Why? Because they didn't have insurance or cold hard cash. Healthcare was rationed out based on ability to pay. Thus, one doesn't have a "right" to live if they are sick, unless they are able to afford insurance or rich enough to pay out of pocket.

And yet I'm lectured over "right to life"....

The single greatest influence on women when it comes to abortion is.... conservatives. For they are all so "moral".... as long as it doesn't cost them anything.

I'm glad nations like Belgium has figured it out. Their abortion rate is lower than America's has ever been. And they are a rather secularized, democratic socialist, prochoice nation. They also have universal healthcare coverage. Let's hear it for Belgium!

I never said that Hitler wasn't "for" various socialist policies. I said that Hitler hunted down and killed Democratic Socialists. In 1933, the Dachau concentration camp held socialists and leftists exclusively. The Nazis arrested more than 11,000 Germans for "illegal socialist activity" in 1936. Hitler was a fascist.... a form of capital/socialism hybrid on violent steroids. I'm assuming you know the difference between Democratic Socialism and Fascism.

Re: Aquila? JD? Light? Why So Quiet?

Trump promises to Make America Great Again.... being from a strong union family, I find it difficult to believe Trump wants to make America great again. After all, even his "Make America Great Again" campaign hats were made in China. lol

Oh, and keep a close look at Trump's infrastructure plan. Chinese firms are already lining up for contracts to rebuild America's infrastructure. Hey.... weren't those jobs supposed to go to American companies? Hopefully Trump won't go that route. But keep an eye on it. I'm sure we'll be talking about it again in a couple years.
