That would have been a very thoughtful thing to do, OP....and I guarantee you the host would not have recommended $400.00 lobster!

I was never told the name nor did I ask.
A guest minister was invited to preach-
the pastor couldn't take him out so others from the church took the minister to eat. The man asked for Lobster,
The waitress said the only lobster we have is ONE flown in from Australia and it costs 400-500$.
the minister responded "that's fine!"

Did that Lobster come from a Snooty Lobster family. They must have owned a sawmill or something ?

I wonder if there was a 15% gratuity on that dinner?...If so, the gratuity might have been more than a moderately priced dinner for several.

I don't know about you all, but sounds like the LEAST humble attitude to have. You ever hear of someone rejecting a reward because they did a good deed NOT for the material rewards? This fellow sounds like someone that would readily take the reward with out blinking
