I think the ruffle was created over the fact that it appeared that you "called ILG out", as it were, and your post implied that she really didn't want to hear the truth.

That's all I was saying. When you learn her story, you'll find that it's absolute truth that she is seeking.

Plus, when I get on the subject of age... I work in a maintenance shop. Everyone here is 45 or up with the exception of me and 2 other guys and we constantly get the shaft for our age, we get the back breaking work and no say in delegation. Makes us feel like a bunch of beaten work horses

No harm done here! I can tell that you are an intelligent person and a deep thinker, and you have some really good things to say. Most of the time, these misunderstandings stem from the fact that you are merely reading someone's typed words, and can't get the inflection or the spirit in which they were written.

I'm a manager, and some of the best and brightest engineers I have working for me are under the age of 30, so the young age is no issue for me!
