And zooming in again, I could see you had the Gingerbread men "thingys" (lol) and the cookie cutters. It was a great idea, girl!

I thought all the tables were done the same. What a surprise to know each was done individually. So, you had one person in charge of a group table?

Everyone had their special touch, that's for sure. Just a really fun night. I want to have a party!!!

I was thinking of hosting a ladies prayer tea next week, but I just had new Stainmaster carpet put in and I'm not ready to have a heart attack. LOL! Should I do it?
Definitely you should do it. Just think of the souls that could be reached thru something like this - can't take you rnew carpet with you. But you can take the souls

Funny story about that song: I had a Grandma who was - well, "colorful" might describe her, "fiesty" for sure does. So when my cousin heard that song, his comment was, "I pity the poor reindeer who tried running over MY grandma! Wouldn't take him long to wish he would have stayed up on the porch with the elves where he was safe and sound!" I loved it!

True, but that really took care of itself. Too much going on this month, I can't fit it in. Maybe after the New Year.

Great idea. Nothing says you have to do a CHRISTMAS tea. I'm sure your ladies would enjoy it no matter when you do it. Or where! If you don't want to have them on your carpet, can you do it somewhere else? maybe your church fellowship hall? Our local library has a meeting room they let people reserve. Do you have anything like that available? See, you could do and still save your carpet

The Fellowship Hall would work great. It's just a fun change to do it at someone's house. Guess I should have kept my hardwood floors. My carpet installer asked me why I was covering them up.

Most people would never cover their hardwood floors. Do you ever watch the HouseHunter shows on TV? People turn houses down because they have carpet instead of hardwood. Personally, I'm a carpet person. I like WARMTH under my feet

No, I don't ever watch House Hunter. But, I'm with you - my husband and I are carpet people. I never liked the oak flooring. The carpet installer asked me THREE times if I was sure that's what I wanted to do. I don't care what everyone else wants. I am warm and toasty this winter and I LOVE IT!!!

Re: Recipes for a Ladies Tea. Help??

Margie,
I made this for a party tomorrow. I made it the day before because, that's how I do my cheesecake. They taste better the next day. This took all of 10 minutes after the cream cheese and butter softened.

I did taste a little and it is good.

I have a silver lazy susan with glass serving dishes. I'll put the dessert in the middle and put Graham crackers and gingersnaps in the other dishes.

Chocolate Chip Dip Recipe

16 Servings
Prep/Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Spice Islands® pure vanilla extract
1 cup (6 ounces) miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Graham cracker sticks

Directions

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugars and vanilla; beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Serve with graham cracker sticks. Yield: 2 cups.

One more and it is soooooo, chocolate! I am going to help my DIL make this for her mother's family for Christmas. Her mother is a an Oreo addict.

I don't know why I think it's cool to view the steps. So view them with me.

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie n’ Oreo Fudge Brownie Bar

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 pkg Double Stuffed Oreos
1 Family Size (9×13) Brownie mix
1/4 cup hot fudge topping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter and both sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3-5 minutes. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well to thoroughly combine. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt, then slowly incorporate into the mixer until the flour is just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish that’s been lined with wax paper and sprayed with cooking spray. Top with a layer of Oreos. Mix together brownie mix, adding an optional 1/4 cup of hot fudge topping to the mix. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and Oreos. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-55 minutes.

To half this recipe for an 8×8 brownie mix, just half the chocolate chip cookie dough ingredients. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas, Margie!!!
